We love visiting The Hurstwood! It’s such a beautiful pub in the small village of High Hurstwood, between Uckfield and Crowborough, with the most amazing food.

Husband and wife team, Martin & Lenka are the owners and bring their impeccable taste to the interior and food, making it a pleasure to dine there. They grow their own produce in the pub garden, put on lots of fun events throughout the year and their Sunday roast is fantastic!

In the summer, their garden is the perfect place to hang out on the large deck or in a hammock. They have a BBQ and garden games too as well as colouring pencils and crayons for the little ones.

Loving the giant olives!

Lots of art being made

My lunch – Seared Tuna Niçoise salad.

Chard, redcurrants, gooseberries and pak choi growing in the pub garden.

Playing Connect Four

The twins love all the games in the beer garden!

Playing quoits
More quoits fun

Beautiful roses in the garden

It’s a perfect spot for a family weekend treat.
